Designed specifically for the 2019+ Sprinter (VS30), this dual-purpose carrier is installed with simple tools and retains the use of your rear door.
TIG-welded in aluminum by Owl in Mesa, Arizona, and finished in a durable powder coat, the Explorer Sprinter tire carrier system balances lightweight construction with rock-solid functionality. With optional gear mounting and an improved step spacing layout, it’s the evolution of the product that defined Owl—and the foundation of your rear build.
There are two types of hinges that come on the VS30 MB Sprinter (2019+) vans: 180˚ and 270˚. All Owl rear door products require 180˚ hinges. All Winnebago REVELs, Storytellers, Tiffin GH1, and Thor have the 180˚ hinges.
Look at the attached image. If your hinges have holes, you have the 180˚ hinges (top in the image). If your doors open all the way and fold flat along the side of the van, you have the 270˚ hinges.
