Starlink Mounts Built for the Mercedes Sprinter
A Starlink dish is only as dependable as the mount holding it. Our mounts lock the dish to your Sprinter's roof at the right angle, so a video call from a forest road goes as smoothly as one from a campground. If you're setting up Starlink for Sprinter van life, we have mounts for both dishes you'll likely run.
The Starlink Mini Magnetic Mount holds the Mini with three rubber-coated neodymium magnets and includes our low-profile locking mount. The Starlink In-Motion Roof Mount is built for the Starlink High Performance dish from powder-coated aluminum and stainless hardware. Magnetic Mounting Plates give the magnets a steel surface to grab onto aluminum or composite panels.
Starlink's Roam plans support in-motion use up to 100 mph, so your connection can keep running while you drive. The In-Motion Roof Mount sets the dish in its standard orientation for maximum satellite visibility and keeps a low profile that looks factory-installed. It's weatherproof and wind-tested, with no rattles once it's installed.
Magnetic Mount vs. In-Motion Roof Mount: Which Setup Fits Your Build?
Your dish makes the first call. The Magnetic Mount is for the Starlink Mini, and the In-Motion Roof Mount fits only the High Performance dish. The roof mount won't fit the Mini or the Gen 3 standard dish.
Go with the Magnetic Mount if you want flexibility. You can pull the Mini off at camp to chase open sky, move it to another vehicle, or stash it inside before a long hike. The magnets need steel to hold, so if your roof or rack has aluminum or composite panels, add our Magnetic Mounting Plates. A Mini mount takes three of them. The Mini mount itself comes in black or white to match your roof.
Go with the In-Motion Roof Mount if you work full-time from the road and want a permanent setup for a bigger dish. It comes in two versions. The magnetic version uses neodymium magnets rated at 65 lbs of holding strength each, though it won't work on aluminum vehicles.
The standard version bolts on with a hardware kit, and we make dedicated kits for Revel and Storyteller roof racks plus a universal kit with multiple mounting holes for almost any Sprinter or Thor build.
