It's a test-your-limits challenge that comes with one notable risk: exposing your INEOS Grenadier's undercarriage to dings and dents over several miles.

A crucial line of defense, rock sliders create a barrier against loose and protruding debris of all types. Flying pebbles, tree stumps, roots—these heavy-duty, welded panels take the hit without compromising clearance or crumpling when you use the jack. The flared design also doubles as a step for safe entry into your vehicle.

Side steps further guard against these exposures while giving passengers access to the vehicle's interior and any roof-mounted gear.

Our Tubular Off Road panels are constructed of seamless, lightweight DOM steel that supports the vehicle's weight and shrugs off all types of debris. Our Power Retractable Rock Sliders use high-strength powder-coated steel with a slim profile that folds out whenever you open the doors.

Installation is a straightforward bolt-on job that keeps your Grenadier's exhaust, brakes, suspension, fuel, and other critical systems protected against the unpredictable.

What's the difference between a side step and a rock slider?

Side steps are primarily for getting in and out of a vehicle. Rock sliders, on the other hand, are purpose-built to protect the undercarriage against debris and support the full weight during jack usage. While side steps shield against minor exposures, rock sliders are engineered to withstand impact from boulders, logs, and other large objects.

For installation, rock sliders directly attach steel-walled tubing to the vehicle's frame. Side steps will secure to the body, rocker panels, or pinch welds.
Do power retractable rock sliders retract automatically with the doors?

Yes, a magnetic sensor or door-jamb switch will cause the rock slider/side step to unfold about 12 inches as the door opens and retract to a flush or slightly angled position when the door closes.

Once in place, the rock slider will guard the vehicle's underside against road and trail debris.
Will rock sliders protect the rocker panels on rocky trails?

Yes. Heavy-duty tubular steel construction creates a barrier against rocks, logs, and ledges, supports the vehicle's full weight, and limits impact-related damage to the undercarriage, doors, and sides. A sturdy, angled design bolts directly to the frame, providing sufficient durability and clearance for the INEOS Grenadier to slide over obstacles.

This installation also creates a more secure attachment that lifts with the vehicle whenever you use a jack for tire changes and similar repairs.
Are these steps rated to support an adult's full weight?

Once bolted to the Grenadier, Owl's rock slider/side step combinations will support up to 300 lbs., accommodating most adults. Additionally, our hybrid heavy-duty DOM steel tubing construction won't buckle or flex, providing a secure platform for entrances, exits, and retrieving gear from the roof.
Do side steps or rock sliders fit the Quartermaster?

Owl engineers our rock slider/side step additions to bolt into the factory holes on the Grenadier and Quartermaster, no drilling or modifications required. Once secure, the Tubular Side Steps and Retractable Rock Sliders will support either vehicle's weight and fully shield it against debris.
