As with all of our products, we don't carry anything unless we believe it's the best available. Wilwood has one of the most respected names in motorsports and high-performance braking, but reputation alone isn't why we chose them. We tested every major brake system available for the Sprinter, and the Wilwood kit outperformed the competition by a wide margin.
We installed this system on our 12,000 lb Ekko and reduced its 60-0 mph stopping distance from 111 feet to 95 feet. That means that where a van with Wilwoods would have totally stopped the van with stock brakes would still be traveling 17MPH. That's a decent impact for anyone that has been in an accident. Try stopping from 60PMH and your van would still be going over 25mph on impact. Those are some staggering numbers
The benefits extend well beyond shorter stopping distances. The large, cross-drilled rotors dissipate heat much more effectively than the factory system, helping maintain braking performance during repeated hard stops or long mountain descents. The result is significantly less brake fade, more consistent pedal feel, and greater confidence behind the wheel when your van is heavily loaded.
