Triple Valve Stem System

Why would anyone want three valve stems in a wheel? The Super Single is a single wheel that replaces a dually setup. The new Mercedes Sprinter 3500s come with six total TPMS sensors—one in each wheel. When converting to single rear wheels, all six TPMS sensors must still be retained for the OEM Mercedes system to operate correctly. By adding two TPMS sensors to a single wheel, using two of the valve stem openings, you’re able to maintain a fully functional, error-free tire pressure monitoring system. The third valve is for an Apex rapid deflate air dump valve, allowing you to air down your tires in less than a minute instead of the 10 plus minutes a standard valve takes.

Lower Offset than Competitive Set - 123mm

In basic terms, the offset of a wheel is how much it sticks out of the side of the van. By having a wheel with a lower offset, you widen the track of your van, making it more stable and less prone to tipping. This is an advantage when off-roading in a tall vehicle like a Sprinter Van. We designed our Talon SS wheel specifically for the Ekko's wider body. Therefore, our wheel fills the wheel well and increases off-road performance.

Run Larger Tires

Duallies limit the size tire you can run because they come into contact with each other. By moving to a Super Single you are able to massively increase your tire size all the way up to 35". Larger tires not only mean more ground clearance on the trail but also a softer, more supple ride. The wider side wall of the tire works as a shock absorber to dampen rough terrain.

Increased Load Capacity

Modern Sprinter dually builds are heavy. Owl built a super single that was both lightweight but also increased the load-carrying capacity of the wheel to 4600 lbs each In basic terms, we wanted something stronger that could take the abuse of a 11,000lbs Ekko pounding the dirt offroad and on.

Unique Spare Wheel

With Super Single wheelsets, it can be a little more complicated to carry a spare, because the front wheels and the rear wheels are now different. Due to this change, Owl has specifically designed a spare wheel to be used on either the front or the back, allowing you to carry a single full-sized spare to get you off the trail.
