Our Classic Series skid plates are crafted from high strength, lightweight aluminum. By carefully engineering every component, we've created a system that weighs roughly half as much as many competing designs while still standing up to the harshest conditions.
Designed for straightforward bolt on installation, each skid plate integrates seamlessly with the Sprinter's undercarriage (utilizing factory holes). Whether you're crawling through rocky trails or venturing deep into the backcountry, these skids take the abuse so your drivetrain doesn't have to.
Pro Line (with UHMW)
For drivers who push harder, the optional Pro Line adds a layer of UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) over the aluminum structure. UHMW is an extremely tough, low friction material, so the skid slides over rocks and obstacles instead of digging in or hanging up. Steel skids are heavy and rust once scratched, and bare aluminum tends to grab on rock. Pairing aluminum with UHMW gives you the best of both: light weight and a slick, durable surface.
Because when you're deep in the backcountry, the best skid plate isn't just the one that survives the impact. It's the one that helps you avoid getting stuck in the first place.
