Why your van needs it
Unlike most vehicles, Sprinters leave the factory with suspension designed for an empty cargo van. Once converted into an adventure van, the added weight, especially over the rear axle, overloads the factory system. The result is collapsed leaf springs, reduced travel, and a van that is effectively riding on the bump stops. That means a harsh ride, poor control, and compromised safety.
One of the most noticeable side effects is the factory wind assist system triggering during crosswinds.
