Sprinter Suspension Explained

Fully Adjustable Shocks

The Falcon shocks have three different adjustable settings for full control of your van in any environment.

1 - Full soft - For off-road, rain, snow, or other inclement conditions.

2 - Adjustable - Adjust from full stiff to full soft. We prefer to keep our shocks on 4 or 5 for everyday driving around town.

3 - Full Stiff - Highway driving and trailering. This is for long trips - especially those with wind.

Reduce Crosswind Assist

It is harrowing to drive a tall van in the wind because of body roll and the Mercedes Crosswind Assist. This is a factory suspension problem. With proper dampening, this problem goes away almost entirely. Because the stock vans are set up as city cargo vehicles, the front dampers are too stiff, and the rear springs are undersprung. As such, stock vans tend to roll. Enter the 4.3 kit, one of the most popular Sprinter upgrades on the market

How to Fit Larger Tires

This kit allows for 315/75/16 (35”) tires - enhancing the look and off-road capability. There are some body modifications required to do so: removing of the front mudflaps, slight trimming of the rear of the front fender, and trimming of the front bumper and front inner fender well liner. Also, a minimum 9/16” (14mm) wheel spacer should be installed on factory steel wheels with 54mm of offset or any other wheel with comparable offset. This is for tire clearance between the inside of the tire and the strut and rear inner fender.
