MODULAR MOLLE ROLLUP BAG – Owl’s Vehicle Recovery Kit features a unique MOLLE-based Modular Bag that has secure storage for all kit components - simply unroll this bag and you have easy access to everything! All metal pieces are isolated, so no more metal-on-metal banging in your bag: MOLLE-loop interface enables easy customization of accessory bag positioning, roll-up design w/ compression straps yields a compact bag profile that is easy to stow/transport, labelled accessory bags provide immediate access to all components and ensure rapid component accountability, metal buckles or zippers on outer side of bag to ensure it will not mark up painted surfaces, and a glove storage pocket on bag exterior for quick access.
20’ KINETIC ROPE – Owl’s Blue 1” x 20’ Kinetic Rope is made from elastic MIL-R-24050 MILSPEC Double Braid Nylon, and is externally coated to impede water absorption and debris intrusion. It has a 33,500 lb Minimum Breaking Strength, and features a Grey hard dipped eye on each end that is extremely durable. Use of an elastic Kinetic Rope significantly reduces the danger of shock loading during a recovery effort.
10’ TREE SAVER – Owl’s Green 3” x 10’ 2-Ply Poly Tree Saver features Cordura reinforcements down the body and on the inside of the eyes. It has a 46,500 lb Minimum Breaking Strength, is extremely versatile, and is an excellent choice for use as a Static Recovery Sling. Because Poly Straps are not elastic, care must be taken to ensure vehicle recovery points are not shock-loaded during use: Cordura reinforcements improve strap durability, sized to be used as the primary component for a static recovery pull, can be used as one leg of a V-Bridle or as an extension for Owl’s 1” Kinetic Rope, can also be used as a Tree Saver Anchor for up to a 12,000 lb Winch, even on the anchor side of a pulley block.
20’ HMPE BRIDLE – Owl’s Blue 9/16” High Modulus PolyEthylene (HMPE) Bridle is designed to spread a recovery load across two vehicle recovery points, thereby reducing the stress on any one recovery point for improved safety. It’s 20’ length enables bridle to exceed 3:1 width to length ratio to minimize recovery point side-loading during use as a V-Bridle off the front end of a vehicle. It has a 36,500 lb Minimum Breaking Strength: Also strong enough to be used as an extension for Owl’s 1” Kinetic Rope and can be used as a Winch Line Extension for up to a 12,000 lb Winch, even on the anchor side of a pulley block.

With a 47,000lb Minimum Breaking Strength, it is strong enough for use in all vehicle recovery points listed on Owl’s Static, Kinetic (Dynamic) and Winching User Guides - to include at the anchor end of a pulley block with up to a 12,000 lb Winch.
HITCH MOUNTED RECOVERY POINT – Owl’s 2” Hitch Mounted Recovery Point is made of aircraft-grade Aluminium, making it lightweight yet strong. It can be pinned in either the vertical or horizontal configuration for maximum flexibility. It has a Minimum Breaking Strength of 55,000 lbs. Machined Aluminum with radiused edges & oversized opening for optimal soft shackle compatibility. Anodized Black, engraved with critical dimensional and strength rating data.
BARREL HEAD HITCH PIN – Master Lock’s 5/8” (16mm) Diameter Hitch Pin is a one-piece solution to the Hitch Pin requirement. It is solid stainless steel, and has a spring-loaded Barrel Head: 3” usable length, class III/IV Rating, stainless steel construction, no cotter pin needed.
X-LOCK – The Safe-Xtract X-Lock is a functionally-patented multipurpose tool designed specifically for use with synthetic line. It can be used to form a non-slipping connection point on a bridle for a Static Pull, ensuring that an exact angle for a pull can be set up. When winching, the X-Lock can be used to take the excess slack out of a fully extended winch line, which enables max winch pulling power. It can also be used to belay a vehicle.
