The Stage 4.3 kit utilizes front and rear fully adjustable piggyback SP2 3.3 Fast Adjust shocks for owners that want complete control over their suspension. The Fast Adjust shocks allow you to easily soften up the suspension for extended dirt road travel or firm it up for windy days and long highway stretches for sports car-like handling. This is the perfect kit for stock Revels, lightweight adventure vans, and most passenger vans running up to 10,000lbs to smooth out the harshness experienced on washboard roads and sharp, abrupt impacts. VC Stage 4.3 suspension package transforms the Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 from a violently swaying and lumbering cargo van into a vehicle with true German luxury car feeling and control both on and offroad. Vehicle control and suspension compliance are the two areas of ride quality VC focused on when they engineered this kit, and each shock is packed full of our knowledge tuning suspensions to work perfectly for the intended purposes of these adventure vans.

The cornerstone of the VC Stage 4.3 kit is the fully adjustable Falcon Piggyback Reservoir 3.3 Fast Adjust Shocks. These shocks have a MASSIVE range of compression adjustment at the simple flip of a knob. With the large, red Fast Adjust knob, placed in an easy-to-access spot, you will definitely take advantage of the adjustment features of these shocks. Position 1, the softest setting, is optimized for rough dirt road travel. Setting the knob to position 2, and utilizing the micro-dial to fine-tune, sets the shocks for everyday comfort and is the preferred setting for everyday road-going travel. This is your van’s everyday normal running around town setting. Position 3, the firmest setting, will engage maximum stability for loaded highway travel and treacherous cross wind conditions. Cross wind sway, poor cornering stability, low speed rocking and harshness are a thing of the past with the Van Compass Stage 2.3 kit installed!

The Stage 4.3 kit retains the factory suspension geometry which is critical for safe emergency lane change procedures as well as off-road performance, and corrects sagging rear suspension but adding the tuned mini pack add a leaf system. This spring pack increases your spring rate, netting roughly 1.25" of lift and helping to preserve ride height in heavily loaded vans. While other kits on the market force the van up 2” in ride height and sacrifice critical down travel in order to gain front spring rate, our Stage 4.3 kit utilizes a front sumo spring to accomplish the same thing without maxing out the limits of your van’s front suspension. This means control arm angles, axle shaft and steering angles stay neutral and your van retains it’s ability to articulate and keep it’s tires planted on the ground while traversing rough forest roads. The front sumo spring greatly helps with front stability and reducing harsh bottoming of the front suspension without sacrificing suspension travel. It optimizes your van’s front suspension and properly loads the chassis in an area designed to hold a spring load. Paired with a tuned Falcon 3.3 Fast Adjust front shock and the original Van Compass secondary shock mounting bracketry, your Sprinter will have a sporty but compliant feeling the way a Mercedes Benz vehicle should.

  • Reduces the back and forth sway over obstacles

  • Enhances cornering stability

  • Controls large and small bumps more efficiently than the factory shocks

  • Reduces cross wind sway

  • Rear springs restore rear-wheel travel and ride height

The system is 100% bolt-on with the provided mounts and hardware. All components are constructed of high-quality materials here in the USA and are powder coated for durability and corrosion resistance.

Mini-Leaf pack vs Opti-Rate

Recently Van Compass developed a solid new offering for those that want the ultimate in adjustability as they modify their van. With the Mini-Leaf Pack you are going to be able to increase the spring rate of your van and drastically increase the ride. That said, you have to choose your sprint rate upfront. Now with the option of the Opti-Rate Full Spring Pack, you are able to use the Adjustable Preload Spacers (APS) to increase the spring rate if your increase the weight of your van. This means you can order your suspension and continue to add accessories and simply tune your suspension to support the new vehicle weight. More on Opti-Rate below

This kit includes:

  • Front Falcon 2.25 piggyback 3.3 fast adjust shocks and mounting system

  • Shocks tuned to Light/Mid
  • Front 4x4 Sprinter Sumo Springs

  • Rear Falcon 2.25" piggyback SP2 3.3 fast adjust shocks

  • Rear 3-leaf Mini Spring Pack OR Opti-Rate Full Spring Pack

  • Dust boots

  • *We suggest the Baja Double Shear Brackets whenever upgrading suspension
  • Take your suspension to the next level by adding the Rally Strut in place of the factory stock shock. This is an add-on to the Van Compass suspensions and massively enhances the performance!

Opti-Rate Full Spring Pack:

Van Compass's Opti-Rate spring pack represents the culmination of over a decade spent tuning leaf springs for various ride heights, payloads, applications and uses. Built-out vans often suffer from harsh bottom-out due to the constant weight being carried and will drive very poorly overall. Previously, leaf springs had to be ordered to a specific weight range and lift height, which meant either guessing or waiting until completion to order parts. The Opti-rate spring gives new flexibility in tuning both your spring rate and ride height, all in one package.

With an industry-first tunable preload system, they have developed a spring that truly is a 'one size fits all' solution, perfect for van builders, kit installers, and DIY'ers building their vans step by step on their own. The Opti-rate spring is made up of 3 distinct parts: the main springs in the primary stage, a 3-leaf secondary stage, and the Adjustable Preload Spacers (APS). The Adjustable Preload Spacers are machined blocks with stackable delrin glide pads that preload the secondary stage into the main stage. The springs are designed in a way that there is a gap between the 2 stages, perfect for adding our billet machined APS. When the main spring is weighted, the APS are able to engage the primary and secondary stages together. Changing the preload spacers requires little more than a floor jack, socket wrench, and a mallet; the springs can stay in the vehicle.

For light vans, or customers wanting the softest ride, no APS is needed and the spring works in its softest configuration. Middle weight vans, or customers wanting a firmer rear spring rate and increased ride height can add the APS with 1 delrin spacer pad. Heavy vans, or customers wanting the maximum spring rate and ride height can install the APS with 2 Delrin spacer pads.

This spring is designed as a tunable solution, and as a way to correct spring rate. They have designed this spring to return the lost ride height without adding excessive lift. These springs are fully compatible with lift blocks and existing rear geometry correction components to allow for our 2" lift kits to work perfectly for those that want increased clearance and a more aggressive stance.

Installation at an Owl Facility

  • $1,705 - Mini-Leaf
  • $2142.50 - Opti-Rate *some vans with "blocked" U-Bolts may be additional. Some builders block access to the u-bolts with plumbing and the bolts must be cut our and replaced.

Falcon Settings:

1 - Full soft (off-road, rain, snow etc).

2- Adjustable (uses clickers on shock)

3- Full Stiff (towing a trailer, freeway driving)

**Note - 170 EXT vans may require a full spring pack replacement due to the possibility of weight being distributed behind the rear axle.

Canceled Orders

We want all customers to be happy with their purchases but in the event of a canceled order, we cannot recoup the fees charged to us by the credit card companies. When an order is placed, the credit card company takes a percentage of the sale, typically 5%-6% This is money that DOES NOT go to us and we do not get this charge given back to us when we refund an order. Therefore, if someone buys a suspension and then cancels, we pay the credit card company several hundreds of dollars that we cannot get back. Although you may not have noticed, it is industry standard for larger dollar items to have a "restocking fee" of 15% or more. We do our best to charge exactly what we get charged by the credit card company when you cancel an order. In the event of a canceled order, the 5%-6% that the credit card company charges us cannot be refunded. Please make note of this before you order.

• All canceled orders over $1000 paid with a "Credit Card" will have a 5% credit card processing fee that cannot be returned.

• All canceled orders over $1000 paid with a "Shop Pay Installments" will have a 6% credit card processing fee that cannot be returned.
