The most sought-after part in the Sprinter world is finally here! The Owl Locking Differential has been 1.5 years and over $1 million to develop. We couldn’t be happier with the results. The inability to lock the differentials in a Sprinter is the biggest hole in its overlanding capabilities.
A locking differential has helped give Jeeps, Land Cruisers, and Land Rovers their reputations for being unstoppable off-road. By sending 50% of the power to each rear wheel, you get a massive upgrade in traction. No more spinning one wheel, simply lock your differential with the push of a button and your van will crew up terrain.
Gearing - In addition to the Owl Locker, our system includes new ring and pinion gears. Owl’s gear sets changes the factory 3.90 gears to a much more ideal 4:35 setup. This upgrade gets rid of the anemic feel of a Sprinter off the line. Run bigger tires while getting improved torque and fuel mileage.
Owl’s Locker was developed and engineered here in the US. It is entirely manufactured in-house with domestic materials. By machining and manufacturing everything at Owl we ensure OEM or better levels of quality. This is not an overseas locker and gear set like so many of the “Jeep” companies use.
