The Owl engineering team spent over a year designing and refining the new Solo Sprinter Bumper. The bumper is such a critical part of the overall look of a van, we knew we couldn't rush the development.
When we started the solo project we wanted to design a bumper that subtly aggressive yet flowed with the lines of the Sprinter.
The Solo was born on the back of the success of the Hammerhead bumper. We love the Hammerhead for off-roading but countless customers wanted something lighter, DIY install, and without the expense of a winch.
The Solo is an all-aluminum bumper that comes in at a stunning 17lbs! The unit is laser cut, computer formed, and hand TIG welded by our master welders. The end result is a rugged and stunning beautifully piece of equipment.
The Solo blends seamlessly into the front end like it was an off-road package from the factory. It is the perfect platform to mount off-road lights that keep things illuminated when you're on that lonely trail.
One of the best aspects of the new Solo is that it doesn't require relocating or adjusting the onboard safety sensors. The factory radar sensor, adaptive cruise, emergency brake assist, and
front-facing camera all remain untouched. The parking sensors simply snap into the Solo and you're good to go.
Additionally, the Solo does not require any cutting or modifying of the factory bumper (if running sensors you do have to drill a hole in plastic)

Bumper release of liability
A bumper can play an important role in the crashworthiness of the vehicle involved in a collision. OWL does not complete any safety testing on the effect of a new bumper on the crashworthiness of a vehicle involved in a collision.
The buyer assumes all liability for making these changes to their vehicle. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to inform all occupants of the vehicle of the changes made to the safety system. The purchaser also assumes all liability for any other vehicles or occupants involved in a collision or incident with the modified vehicle.
Purchaser agrees to indemnify Owl against any claim in the event the safety systems are adversely affected or do not function as intended. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to comply with all local and national laws regarding making changes to the safety equipment of the vehicle
Purchaser understands that any modifications to the safety equipment of the van are done at the buyer’s own risk.
